March 2013
Where did March go??
Lets see if I can remember what has happened in the last 3 weeks...
I had double hernia surgery 2/28/13 so the girls and I stayed with Mom and Jim since Adam had to work; then we went home that weekend!
Adam was laid off work from the sign company; on my way to work that week I got this overwhelming feeling to call him and have him call Mike (welder he use to work with). He did and Mike said the company he works for was hiring so Adam applied, got an interview/weld test and passed with flying colors (of course)!! The best part is that originally it was going to be the night shift and they offered the day shift and more $$!! We feel so blessed this happened b/c as we didn't see it that way at first, God showed us once again that he will provide if we have faith and we prayed and he answered!!
Adam starts next week so has been Mr. Mom at home with the girls; they have really bonded and enjoyed that. We started taking them back to our daycare lady, Michelle's, today and Rachel was bummed saying, "I wanted Daddy Daughter day." Avery has really bonded with Adam these past couple weeks also which is great as she was so overly clingy to Mom.
Avery is pulling herself up against toys, the couch, etc. We are sure she is going to just take off walking any moment...just hope we are home to see her first steps!
Rachel is blossoming into such a beautiful, smart little lady; she surprises us with her vocabulary daily.
We got a dog, Repo; he is 100% American Pit Bull Terrier. His parents are purple ribbon winners. His previous family had a house fire and had to move into an apartment so he was kenneled up daily and that wasn't what they wanted for him. They had a 3 yr old and a 4 month old that he was raised with from birth so he use to kids and them pulling on him, etc. He just loves the girls, lets Avery pet/hit him (she is still getting use to her hand movements too) and Rachel loves giving him bones!
Cole is the basic cat, comes in when he is hungry and wants love and then leaves again!
Rio hasn't been seen since Oct 30th, 2012; I think he ran away feeling neglected after realizing there was another baby in the house so Mom had less time for him and we had another cat too...I think someone in the neighborhood may have him indoors for the winter so we'll see if we see him this summer I guess...
Okay think we are caught up for now; now just getting ready for two birthdays in the next two months...Avery will be 1 and Rachel 4, I just can't believe how fast this is going.
Love you all,
Adam, Renee, Rachel and Avery (Repo, Rio and Cole too)!
