We had a great month this month. Dad and Linda came for a visit; it was so great to see Rachel interact with them more and to introduce Avery to her grandparents! Rachel was a little shy at first but Grandpa knew what to do, he hid behind the door and jumped out and scared her, she loved it! She kept telling him (yes telling, she is 3 remember?! :)) Grandpa to hide behind the door again and scare her :) We celebrated Rachel's 3rd birthday, its still hard to believe she is already 3! She is so grown up and advanced for her age and with her height, long hair and speech ability most people think she is at least 4. She had a great party; so many friends and family showed up, it was really great having it here! The kids ran through the sprinkler, had cupcakes and helped open gifts! After the party we went to a little pond by our house to take Rachel fishing as that was our theme for her gifts this year! She gave us the idea one day when she was sitting on the top of the couch with a long necklace "fishing" off of it. Then Adam got a tree branch, tied string and a magnet on it and had her at least "fish" for the magnets so she could "catch" them! What a great Dad!! Anyway, Rachel and Gaven were somewhat interested then went running around the pond, until Adam caught a fish and then they were more interested! Adam ended up catching 4 fish that day; we just caught and released but it was a blast! We spent Memorial Day at Grandpa and Verlyn's with the family. Great Grandpa took Rachel and Carly (her cousin) on a tracter ride, wow was that the talk of the day! She even reminded us a few days later about it! I got some videos of her birthday, the tractor ride, etc. that I will put on our youtube page shortly (have to go get a USB cord for our camera). Well the girls are napping so its time for Mommy to finally get ready for the day; today has been really relaxed for us since yesterday was so crazy with errands, playdates, etc!
