We finally received the okay to go home with our baby girl! Rachel was in the NICU since she was born but improved dramatically each day we were there. She had some swelling inbetween her skull and her scalp when she was born so they were watching her for swelling and bleeding, but the swelling went down within two days and the blood cell count tests all came back okay.
Today will be the first day she will be able to sleep in the same room as us!!! We left the hospital, went to pick up the pump for Mommy and then straight home.
As soon as we arrived home, we had Jackson (our dog) and Rio (our cat) meet Rachel. Jackson immediately licked her feet to welcome her home; Rio smelled her and went about his business...typical cat :)
We then went next door to introduce our new bundle of joy to Justin and Teresa and then across the street to our neighbors! We then brought her into our home and got to spend some quality time together, finally! We are just happy to be home and relax :)
The first night was an adjustment for all three of us...but we made it and tomorrow is a brand new day!
