June 2nd
We are finally able to give Rachel her first bath by us! She didn't mind the water too much, but didn't love having her hair washed because of her head still hurting a little from the swelling.
We had a follow up visit with Wee Steps as Rachel had lost 12 oz. so we met with a Lactation nurse who helped us out a lot. They wanted Rachel to gain 3 oz. in 3 days, by our next appointment. They also wanted us to supplement her with a bottle, so Daddy gave her her first bottle today!
June 5th
Today was our Wee Steps appointment, Rachel's goal was to gain 3 oz. in 3 days and she had gained 9 oz. in 3 days!!! They said we were doing much better; thanks to the previous appointment and Mommy's milk production increasing!
June 9th
Today Rachel recognized Daddy and smiled really big! She is already a Daddy's girl-watch out Daddy :)
June 14th
Today was Rachel's first day of church! Mommy, Daddy, Rachel, Grandma and Grandpa all went to church together; Grandma took a picture of the three of us for her first day at church! Rachel was all dressed up in her beautiful yellow dress Aunt Heather had given her, she looked so pretty!
June 22nd
Grandma got to babysit Rachel for the first time today so Mommy and Daddy could celebrate their 7 year anniversary! Rachel did really well and Grandma and Grandpa loved spending time with her, but who wouldn't?! :)
