July 2012
Where to start...Rachel is 3 yrs old, Avery is 3 months old and Adam and I will be 30 this year plus last month we celebrated our 10 yr anniversary!! What a great year!
The end of June we took Avery swimming for the first time, she loved it but it was chilly so she turned blue/purple within about 10 minutes so we got out. Rachel was invited to her first swim birthday party so the whole fam went! Rachel loves the water so it was great to see her play, even though she loved the hot tub the most :)
We had professional pictures done July 1st; they turned out fantastic! We really need to get these girls into modeling, they both did great! There is slideshow to the right of this post of those.
Avery is about 10 lbs now; she's my little "chunky monkey" and Rachel is our little "Small Fry" although she is thin she is very tall, she measured at 38 in recently...Adam said the wives tale is whatever height you are at age 2 or 3 (we aren't sure which as we've heard both), you double that and that is how tall you will be so she'll either be 5'10" or 6'4". Either way she will out grow her Mom...
Rachel absolutely loves to dance; she is always pointing her foot and spinning in circles. She has even started to break dance, just like her Dad! She is so much like Adam in so many ways!
Avery's hair is lightening up; it looked more red today so she is following after her big sis and Daddy too but she still has Mommy's blue eyes :)
We went to Windsor for the 4th of July; Rachel remembered the fireworks from last year and asked if our friend Rod was joining us again. I can't believe she remembered that, she has an amazing memory and vocabulary to explain everything! She is very smart and I want to test her for being advanced as she has surpassed every "traditional" milestone from infancy to now.
Avery woke up right before the fireworks and was so good, she just stared up at the sky at the bright lights! :)
Well its nap time and everyone is sleeping but me...I better get a quick one in too to keep up with these little ones!
