Oct 2014

Hope you all have had a great month! We enjoyed our fall October picking pumpkins at the local pumpkin patch; Rachel got to cut her own off the stock this year! Avery picked out her own too! We loved carving them on two separate occasions, one at our friends house and the other at home. As you can see by the picture, Rachel was Elsa from the movie Frozen and Avery chose a pink and purple Dinosaur, she loved saying "Roar." On that note, that is a new favorite song for both girls, their other being "All about that Bass." Avery loves that one more, she sings "Bout that bass no troubles" instead of "All about that Bass no Treble." So adorable! Rachel sings "Roar" by Katy Perry and holds her tone really well! Rachel's soccer team, Broncos, had a fantastic season and got medals from their coach after their last game. Rachel is doing well at school, just incredible how fast she learns and retains information, although she is still a little shy when she has to give a presentation in front of the class (in Kindergarten they are doing this already...seems so much sooner than when we were kids). Now we are getting ready for Thanksgiving and ready for a week off (at least me and the girls)! We are going to potty train Avery that week so please pray it is a success! It started snowing yesterday so Rachel and Avery woke me up with their boots on saying they wanted to go outside but needed helping zipping their coats :) Rachel immediately went out and made a snow angel, while Avery just ate the snow :) Avery and I took Rachel to school and then went and had a play date with Cassie and her kiddos! Then we went to have lunch with Daddy and then nap time for her while I did laundry and caught up on the Blacklist and the finale, then picked up Rachel and had family night! The snow definately continued today and doesn't appear it will warm up anytime in the next week...tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 8 degrees (I think that is cold enough the town should shut down)! Better get back to work for now. God Bless, Callas'
